Shadow, obviously isn't her name. However it is the title she prefers to go by.
Due to the time she spends in the dark and protecting her identity of being a vampire.
She may tell you more if you find out and dare to ask her...

~ PERSONA ~
Shadow is serious, yet shy. With such a serious nature, it's not often that she'd smile or laugh. If you are ever able to make her laugh or smile, that's a grand accomplishment.
She doesn't talk very much and keeps silent for the most part- trying to be polite in all means. However that doesn't stop her from making sassy remarks.
Shadow isn't one to be tested- she wouldn't dare hesitate to unleash powerful rage that's packed up in her tiny being.
Nevertheless, she is interested in meeting new people or, "mortals" she tends to call them.
She may seem quite boring or flat out creepy. It'll take time to get to know her. She'll be discreetly flattered by your patience over time.
Even though she is a blood consuming vampire, she doesn't have the harsh intentions of one. She would never wish to harm or kill. Shadow may only resort to such actions in order to protect herself, others, or if she was told to with a good reason behind it. She's not so easy to persuade past her own opinions.
If she were to ever to "feed" from someone- she wishes to have consent from them before she begins. Shadow is a being whom can ONLY consume blood. However, if Shadow begins to consume too much blood.. she may begin to loose herself and her sanity.
With lost memory of her past- she wishes to no longer forget. When she meets someone new, it's normal for her to close her eyes and take a "mental note" while repeating their name. With EVERY person she meets, they have effect on her character.

~ BACK STORY ~
Shadow suffers from amnesia- which has placed a rather large gaping hole in her memory. That being nearly all of her memories of her childhood. Such as... how she became a vampire, her family, even her own birthday- these are all missing.
Mentioned before, she doesn't want to forget anything anymore. So she takes mental notes of new people she encounters, special events, or of new memories.
From all of this, her story begins here and now... ~

The one and only memory that seemed to strike her mind, is what happened to her family. She discovers this through her loosing control. Taking the lives of her family without purposeful intent... To whether there were any members that survived, is unknown to her... You could imagine how devastating this could be with little to no context.

The rest of her back story that she is NOT aware of, is the following-- ;

Shadow's father, Dr. Johnathan Nash, was a scientist. Perhaps a... mad scientist. Basically devoting his time trying to discover a way to improve the human race. To make us indestructible, powerful, and less vulnerable. This was directed for possible government and military use.
In doing so, he slowly becomes mentally ill. Nothing seemed to be working according to his studies and calculations. And he was running short on time, his career would be at stake.
When finally believing he discovered it, with absolute certainty in his heart. Within his madness he takes his only daughter, Philomena (Shadow), without thought.
Injecting her with what he had concocted. Results? The Doctor unknowingly infused her into the vampire she is to this day.
Once he did this, the substance, it became too much for Shadow's body, as for she was but only a child then. It took over her being, and that then was how she, "murdered her whole family" out of the vampiric blood lust that was so foreign to her. Which at that time she had her father, mother, then two older brothers.
So. Was the doctor's experiment... a success?

~ APPEARANCE ~
Shadow stands at 5'2 and weighs at 99 lbs.
A scrawny thing she is. She appears to be 18 to 19 years old, while she may be several centuries years old.
Being a vampire she has quite the sharp pointed fangs that she makes an effort to keep hidden.
Her skin is pale as snow, not to mention cold to the touch. She's dead after all. Or is she...?
Her long silky hair shown jet black that falls down mid torso.
Her piercing eyes are that of a deep scarlet red. Which have the tendency to illuminate when in the presence of blood flow or when enraged.

~ WEAPON ~
Shadow would rarely use a weapon- yet if it calls necessary in combat when matters get worse, she would take advantage of her firearm.
She had received a three-round burst pistol named the "MoonDancer". Customized and created by Dr. Stitches ( @GamingBiologist ).
